Bronner's Christmas Wonderland

Bronner's Christmas Wonderland

"Millions of people visit Bronner's annually, which is open 361 days a year."

It's always Christmas at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. Located in Frankenmuth, Michigan, (about 20 minutes from my home) it is the world's LARGEST Christmas store and a wonderful place to visit. The building itself is the size of 5 ½ football fields. The retail area equals that of 1.7 football fields.

What started out as a sign painting business in 1945 was magically transformed into a Christmas decorations business when an area merchant ordered several holiday signposts, from Wally Bronner.

Millions of people visit Bronner's annually, which is open 361 days a year. The store houses over 50,000 holiday decorations including ornaments and many other types of decorations, lights, artificial wreaths and trees, nativity scenes, collectibles and more.

I have always been partial to glass ornaments and apparently I'm not the only one. Bronner's sells more than 1.3 million glass ornaments, on a yearly basis. There are over 6,000 different kinds to choose from. Many of them are made in the U.S.A.

Bronner's is well-known for their personalized ornaments (and other gifts), which are also available at

As you might guess, the busiest time of year at the store is Thanksgiving weekend. In addition to shopping you can grab a bite to eat at the "Season's Eatings" snack bar or spend a few minutes of quiet meditation in the Silent Night Memorial Chapel. Parking is always free, at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland.

I've already mentioned that I love glass ornaments. Do you have a favorite type of holiday ornament or collectible? Inquiring Christmas lovers want to know!
